Seafront Vet Clinic is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our truly independent practice in East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN seeking a supportive, non-corporate environment and a long-term vet nurse job with real clinical input.
As an independent clinic, we offer personalised care for every patient and pride ourselves on a friendly, team-focused atmosphere. Our diagnostic and surgical facilities include an in-house Idexx lab, digital X-ray, dedicated operating theatre, multiparameter monitoring, electrosurgery unit and more, giving you everything you need to work to a high standard.
Duties
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with preparation and post-operative care
- Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with diagnostic procedures such as X-rays and laboratory tests
- Providing nursing care including wound management, patient monitoring, and maintaining accurate medical records
- Supporting clients with advice on animal health, nutrition, and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment
- Answering phonecalls when reception is busy, managing practice management system ( PMS)
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience is essential;
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and clients
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
